Nutrition Therapy

If you've thought at all about your diet, you are probably very confused. Are you eating 'good' or 'bad' foods? How much or how little salt or sugar should you consume? How much fibre? Fears of foods producing cholesterol or foods high in saturated fats. How much protein do you need? Are supplements useful or a waste of money? Which supplements and how many to take? Does organic make a difference?

However, worldwide research repeatedly shows that our eating habits are linked to many major and most common diseases. These include coronary heart disease, heart attacks, cancer, gallstones, intestine disorders, IBS, tooth decay and being overweight. Convenience foods, foods high in saturated fats, sugar and additives and of course alcohol feature highly in our diets compared to even a few decades ago.

However, we all have to live our lives and time and money are at a premium for most of us. Coupled with contradictory statements from food manufacturers, between nutrition experts, food researchers and  'authorities', it is no wonder we don't know which way to turn.

At The Rêve Pavilion, we have a simple approach. First, we establish whether diet or nutrition is the cause of your illness. Then we ask your body what it likes or dislikes through advanced Applied Kinesiology (AK) techniques. Depending on the results, we recommend a change to diet or maybe a short course of supplements to correct the body chemistry. Each recommendation we double check again using AK techniques.

You see, each individual is different, so one person's tolerance of salt, sugar or need for fibre may be completely at variance to another's. You may have an intolerance to dairy foods that can be overcome without the need to change your diet long term. And your diet may be only one element of the diagnosis. There may be emotional or physical aspects we can treat that contribute to removing your symptoms. Using Nutrition Therapy under the umbrella of the Rêve Integrated Health System always assumes one key thing - you are unique.
